Australia Day 2022 Events

In honor of Australia Day this year, the AUSDenver community came together to celebrate our Australian roots and to reflect on the dark history of colonialism that, like the United States, Australia grapples with.

This year, we held two Australia Day events. On Monday, January 24th, we hosted a smaller event at Somebody People, an Australian-owned restaurant in Denver. On Saturday, January 29th, we had our annual celebration at Casey’s Bistro and Pub, another local Australian-owned restaurant and bar. Between the two events, there were more than 150 attendees!
