Where passion met the pitch – Australian Deaf Soccer Womens Team

The Australian Deaf Soccer Team faced off against the US Deaf Soccer Team in Colorado, marking their first match together. Despite a challenging opponent and a final score of 11-0 in favor of the US team, the Aussie squad demonstrated remarkable determination and spirit throughout the game. They persevered through jet lag, altitude, and heat, showcasing their resilience on the field. Special thanks were extended to Deaf Football Australia and volunteers for their support, as well as Cochlear for providing Koala toys to the US team players. Looking ahead, the team is gearing up to compete against Japan in Sydney in December and prepare for the Deaf Olympics in 2025. The support from fans is greatly appreciated as they continue to prepare for future challenges under the new name “Koalas.”
