ANZAC Day is a special day for Australians and New Zealanders all over the world.
Traditionally observed on April 25, we’ll be commemorating the heroic deeds of the brave men and women of the AUS & NZ armed forces on Saturday April 28 with a good old fashioned “beer garden barbie”. Our host will be Rod Dupen (from Sydney) who owns Waffle Bros Pub in the Uptown district of Denver.
Rod has a great beer garden and will be putting on a can-bar, Aussie wine and a sausage sizzle. (We’re still working on the Four N Twenty pies!) Rod also has his famous Waffle Bros menu to choose from
It’s a kid friendly place so feel free to bring the tin-lids for some classic “driveway” cricket! There are plenty of chairs and tables but throw in a couple of picnic chairs if you really want to sit.
AT 1:35 pm (Dawn in Canberra) we will be holding a brief moments silence including the last post and The Ode. We hope to have an RAAF representative from Buckley Air Force base present in uniform to be part of the service!
See you all there, decked out in your finest green & gold and silver & black. Two-up ring is ready to go. Come in spinners!
